Licensing?!

Hi! Thanks for releasing PiD and the ComfyUI-compatible files!
Could you clarify the commercial licensing status of PiD?

The model card says the weights are released under NSCLv1 and may only be used
for non-commercial research/evaluation. Does that apply to every file in this
repository, including all PiD decoder checkpoints and bundled VAE/encoder
weights?

Is there a paid/commercial licensing option available? If so, where should
users contact NVIDIA, and is there any public information about expected
pricing or license terms?

THX!

Hey! I don't work for NVIDIA, but here is the the quick answer

Yes, the non-commercial restriction applies to all the core PiD decoder weights here The bundled files like VAEs and text encoders are just borrowed from other models like FLUX or SDXL and carry their original licenses, but since you need the PiD weights to run the pipeline, the whole setup is effectively locked to non-commercial research.

As for commercial options, NVIDIA almost never shares public pricing or ready-to-buy commercial licenses for research drops like this. Your best bet is to reach out directly to NVIDIA Enterprise Sales or through their Developer portal to ask about a custom license. Hope that helps!
